I really love my Garnier BB Cream. It's been my favorite for quite a while. I got into BB Creams several years ago and haven't looked back since. I tried my first BB Cream from a magazine sample! That's kind of what really got my make up love going and my love of samples. Seriously a good sample is a game changer! I like to have an opaque coverage without feeling like my skin is suffocating. That first sample was L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic BB Cream in light, I still really like that one but I like a heavier coverage and something closer to my skin tone. It also got a little patchy and didn't have the long wearing power I need.
The Garnier BB Cream gives my skin great coverage while still looking like skin and not like I am trying to hide acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, and all kinds of other skin issues, it just perfects it. I think it is one of those products that wears really well, like it looks better after 30 minutes of wear than it does at first application. I don't know how well this would fair on very oily skin or if you are prone to breakouts from sunscreen as this has some ingredients from sunscreen which can cause breakouts. This is a very liquidy BB Cream and I find that a little goes a long way, I use about a dime size or less for full-coverage on my face to neck.
I've been trying the Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation and I am in love. I matched myself perfectly! I am so happy with this foundation. It really reminds me of my beloved Garnier BB Cream. I've been using a beauty blender to apply it and it's just to die for. Two pumps give me the full-coverage I like and it blends in so nicely. The only thing I don't love about it is it does stay on all day but it doesn't make my skin look and stay looking as flawless as my Garnier one does.
I've been using the bareMinerals bareSkin Foundation for about a month. So far I really like the lightness and how easily and nicely it blends into my skin with just a minimal amount of product. I went ahead and purchased the brush as well. I think I could definitely use the brush for other foundations too. The only drawback I've had is that since there are no bonders, i.e. oils or water you have to shake it well between applications, also the smell. I didn't smell it at first but as it wears, it smells. Unless I smell only on days I wear this foundation? It smells almost like wet hair or something musty. Otherwise I really like it. I don't know if I would purchase it again, but I wouldn't take it out of the running for a future purchase. There are some days where I feel like it takes a long time for it to blend into my skin and other days it takes less than a minute to get my whole face done.
These are just the foundations I've been using consistently over the past couple months and have really liked. So let me know in the comments what kind of foundation you like? What should I test out? I've heard really good things about the IT Cosmetics powder foundation and think that might be the next buy. Ugh and maybe the brush too. What foundation do you guys like?
