Weekend Update!

This weekend was non-stop for us! On Friday we went out for Chris' resident party where we wore either a tacky Christmas sweater or Christmas jammies. We started off with Chris' eggnog, which is the only eggnog I like and will probably ever drink.

then moved on to beers with the little antler Heather Lee gave me.

Then we finally made it to the party!

Where this guy, even with 2 sweaters didn't manage a win! :(

After getting wild and crazy we took an Uber over to Franklin where I ran into my friend who was also in her jammies!

The rest of the weekend was more tame but we had more parties to attend and chores to forget! I hope everyone had a safe and super fun weekend!!

TGIF!

I swear I say this every week but it was an intense week and I am so happy it's finally Friday and I can celebrate this weekend.

1. This app is so cool! I made this snowflake with it and I think it's cool that it shows you what one would look like if you were going to make the cuts or you can just make a sweet pic.
2.  I got to have dinner with one of my old sorority sisters this week and we had so much fun and I talked so much that my throat was sore for the whole next day. It was so impromptu and I had been nervous to call her up because it had been so long but I'm so glad I did because we had a blast catching up.

3. Ummm have you guys seen this trailer? This looks so freaking cute! I definitely want to see it!

4. This card cracks me up! Mostly because I swear the mouse looks like Chloe is not impressed...

Am I right or am I right?

5. Christmas Parties!! We have so many and there are so many themes! We have three this weekend and I'm excited for all of them! We'll have a packed weekend before my sister and little Jackson come up and I am so happy I'll get to spend the day with them too!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

My hair

I know my mom will probably hate this but I re-ombred my hair and I love it! I got about 4 inches cut off and I'm just in love with how it turned out. My girl Amber at Moshi Moshi is always so sweet and she knows just how I want my hair. She asks a lot of questions and makes sure I'm getting just what I want while pushing the limits but not letting my go too crazy. I've gone to her about three times and every time I always feel a thousand times better after I get out of that chair.

Like this time I was thinking about bangs and asked her thoughts and she gave me some faux bangs that I can sweep in or out of my forehead. Finding the right stylist is such a make or break, especially with color! I was never super loyal to stylists before but now I know why people can be so crazy about their specific person. I was really nervous the first time I tried ombre and she was really sweet and explained everything, what she was doing, what the process was, and how to take care of it.

This time we did a 'sombre' a soft ombre with a very 'grown out' look, long layers and the faux bangs. I seriously love it.

Next step is a chop, how soon I don't know...

Book Club: Holiday Quinoa Salad

I made this as a side for our Christmas Book Club and everyone just about lost their mind it was so good! This is a mixture of recipes, my mom makes a dish similar to this but with rice instead of quinoa but for this recipe in particular I thought quinoa would be the best choice!

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup dry quinoa
1 1/4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
1 cup dried cranberries
1-2 cups fresh broccoli florets
2-3 TBSP fresh lemon juice
2 TBSP chopped green onion
1/2 cup toasted almond slivers
salt and pepper to taste

DRESSING:
2 TBSP olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, smashed and minced
1 TBSP fresh lime juice
1 TBSP orange juice
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS
Bring your broth to a boil in a medium sauce pan. Once it's boiling, add your quinoa and reduce heat to low and simmer, covered with the lid slightly ajar, for 12-13 minutes. Add the cranberries around the 9-10 minute mark. Once your quinoa and cranberries are done, season with a bit of salt and pepper, fluff gently with a fork, and set aside.

While this is happening bake your broccoli. I season it with some extra lemon juice and garlic seasoning but it's not necessary. Place your florets in a 400F oven for about 10 minutes. Once those are done add to your quinoa mix along with your chopped green onion.

I usually place my sliced almonds in there as well but make sure you keep an eye on them so they don't burn!

DRESSING: Smash and mince garlic into a paste and combine with all remaining dressing ingredients. Whisk well and set aside.

Add everything to your quinoa mix and serve it warm or at room temperature, it's great both ways! Enjoy!

Need a moment

Have you ever had one of those days where you just don't want to get out of bed? That's what the month of December has been like for me. There is just too much going on so I just want to forget about it all and stay in my warm safe bed with my sweet little dog.

But let's be real. I get up. I get ready. I go to work. Hustle as hard as I can to get everything done there. Then run home to go on to the next thing. I've had an event, volunteer work, or some other social event almost everyday after work and this week is no different. In fact it's so packed I'm either double or triple booked that I have barely been able to run to the gym which doesn't help my mental health.

All that complaining aside what do you do to distress? Last night on my drive to and from events I listened to some really nice sax music. I used to hate it but now it always reminds me of my dad and his nice mornings he took to himself to get up really early, read his book, drink coffee and take a little time to himself. I also had five minutes to spare before I left to make a really good hot chocolate.

Not having time to myself stresses me out as a natural introvert. So tell me, what helps you relax or what helps you keep it all together because this month is PACKED!

Weekend Update

Chris and I had a pretty quiet weekend. We kicked it off with Mr. Chris experimenting with Amaretto Sours. Pulling together a quick dinner and watching How to Train Your Dragon 2.  I loved the first one and we have been meaning to watch the second pretty much since it came out. It was really sweet and we both think there will be a third movie and we're excited to see it!

On Saturday we wanted to have brunch at Acme and go to the Nasher for Museums on Us. Well Acme only does Sunday brunch so we thought we would try another place we had a gift certificate - The Weathervane, but it was packed with a 45-1 hour wait! So we walked over to the nearly empty City Kitchen and enjoyed a very lovely brunch there. It was really very good! I was telling Chris if the place was half the size with the same amount of tables it would remind me of Baltimore.

After brunch we made our way to the Nasher and boy did we not enjoy ourselves. I like modern art but just didn't see what the artists were trying to convey. Unless it was confusion, then I got it. Chris and I only liked one piece, Felrath Hines, Yellow on Yellow.

{image}
We just weren't moved by anything else. It made me feel at least a little better we didn't pay to go in. We did pay for 2 hours of parking when we only needed an hour to get through the general admission areas. But we made it all better by making chili and finally making my apple pie for Chris.

We spent Sunday cleaning, shopping and wrapping and spending time with this cutie while he begged for chili!

I hope you all had a great weekend too! Happy shopping!

High Five for Friday!!

Almost the weekend!!

1. Oh guuurrrrlll I got my hair done on Thursday and I love it! My girl Amber at Moshi Moshi is awesome and so sweet and really knows whats she's doing. As soon as I can get a good pic I'll post it because it's awesome!!

2. What I really want for Christmas? For my landlord to actually do the things she was supposed to do before we moved in. And for wood floors rather than our awful carpet. If you want to know who you need to avoid renting from message me and I'll let you know!

3. I am LOVING our new table! Our old one was pretty damaged from snow melt that flooded our basement in Baltimore that we had to keep the table covered with a table cloth so you couldn't see the damage on the leaves. But this new one takes up so little visual space that even though it's bigger, it looks like it takes up less space. Plus it can stay uncovered! Now we just need to fix or sell or give away our old table.

4. I got Mr. Chris' present the other day in the mail and I was able to wrap it and everything before he got home! I'm so excited to give it to him!!!! :) :) :) Now I just need to buy for everyone else!!

5. I'm ready to eat brunch and look at some art this weekend with Dr. Chris. I've been trying to get this date for a while but I kept getting the weekend for Museums on Us wrong! Here's the deal, if you have a Bank of America card you can get into certain museums for free! it's all in the link above. You just have to be there on the right weekend!

Why no pics this post you may ask? Because I've been so exhausted this week that I've gone to bed so early every day! Hopefully I'm not getting sick, or this is staving off the sickness!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Marc Jacobs Daisy

EDIT: Guys I tried to do this on my phone and the post wasn't pretty let's try this again!

Do you guys like Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume? It's one of my favorites and a definite staple for my dressing table. Since I bought my Bath and Body Works candles online I didn't get to test them in-store and had to go off the descriptions online. Well thankfully I liked the description for Winter White Petals because it smells exactly like Daisy! I've been trying not to burn it too much since it has that perfumy smell but I thought I just had to share this information with the masses because it's just too good to keep a secret! So go out and find Winter White Petals and enjoy!!

Book Club: The Husband's Secret by: Liane Moriarty

This book had me hooked early on, the first chapter really captures your attention. This book is a story of three women and how their lives are connected in certain sad and twisted ways. There is Cecilia, who is super Type A, a mother of three, and runs a successful Tupperware party conglomerate. There is Rachel, a grandmother who is still trying to get over the murder of her daughter 20 years ago. And Tess who comes back to her hometown with her young son after learning some news about her husband.

{image}
At first I was a little confused jumping between the three stories but they have such strong characters I was able to remember easily who was who. This book gave me all the emotions. I swear every time I would read on the bus to work I would get teary eyed and when I read it before bed I would go "Chris OMG!". I don't want to give anything away, that's how good it was and how much I think you should read it!

I loved this tale from beginning to end. I really loved how she wrapped everything up in the end. It was all what could have been which is a concept I often think of. How the change of one small detail can change the course of your life. I think this would be a really great beach read, or just a great read in general! I highly recommend! I mean I told about three people right after I finished it they needed to read it, so if that doesn't say something I don't know what does.

I am have already put several of Liane Moriarty's books on my Christmas wishlist. I loved her style of writing, it was easy to read and engaging all the way through. I swear the more I like a book the less I want to write about it because I think you just need to read it to get the full impact of the book without any spoilers! Do you get that way about books?

Have you read The Husbands Secret? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

November Purchase History

I didn't buy too much this month since it was my birthday but I couldn't resist a couple items. Believe it or not I didn't go Black Friday shopping OR buy anything on Cyber Monday. At least not for myself. I may or may not have already bought a couple Christmas presents which will not be revealed here you sneaky sneaks!

I found a really great deal for Bath and Body Works 3 wick candles and some money off! So far we've burned the Sweater Weather full out and it doesn't give too much scent but the other ones are good to go!

I also couldn't pass up my 15% off Birthday discount at Anthro and picked up a Volcano candle and this pretty green stole. It looks way nicer in person. I've gotten stopped a couple times when I've worn it out and it is really beautiful. It is quite expensive but it's been totally worth is especially since I also had a sweet gift card from my mother in law.

Did you guys score any amazing deals this weekend? Let me know in the comments!

Thanksgiving Weekend

I thought I might have time to make some posts during the holiday but alas I was having too much fun with my family! Chris and I got in on Wednesday evening after listening to Serial for most of the way. It's an awesome podcast unfolding details of a murder one week at a time.  It's awesome and it really kept our attention the whole time. We would pause every once in a while to discuss certain events or if we thought a certain person did it or not.

We were welcomed home by Heather Lee and my parents and we had a nice time catching up and trying to get out of the car zone. It was nice to catch up and regroup and know that I'll get to wake up to those people the next day!

We had a Munoz Thanksgiving on Thursday. Heather Lee helped me finish my pie which we didn't get made for our Thanksgiving but it was done for the Gibsons. We all made our way to South Carolina to my grandparents house and ate some amazing food. I don't know if my grandma will ever let anything hold her back from making food for her family. A few years ago she broke her hip in September and insisted on still making Thanksgiving! It was great and we got to enjoy some nice family time. And for the first year ever I was thankful to ESPN for bringing Heather Lee to Charlotte! After we got back from my grandparents house we kept the party going with more drinks, leftovers and a roaring game of Heads up

How cute are Noelle's glasses btw? On Friday Chris went out for his annual football game with Kona and I spent some time with Noelle and Jackson. Then I went to the Gibson Thanksgiving and we drank and ate and ate and ate. Chris and I convinced his family to play heads up too and we were in tears almost the whole time laughing!

On Saturday Chris took Kona to play football again while I went to the Flying Biscuit with Noelle, Jeremy and Jackson. We also checked out some bikes for the little boy. He was not ready to leave!

But we did need to leave. My parents bought a new table for their dinning room and they were giving us their old one, but the problem was we didn't have enough room so they wanted to drive it up for us! So we all packed up and headed back to Chapel Hill!

Now we have a new table and will hopefully be able to fix up our old one and sell it. It was quite a packed weekend and this isn't even everything we did! Poor Kona is so tired from playing so much, but he's been enjoying laying in Chris' open duffle bag for the time being.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Happy December!! :)

Chicken and Broccoli Pizza

I think I've mentioned this pizza before and I was horrified to find out I hadn't posted the recipe yet! I love this pizza, mostly because it's basically a whole meal on a pizza. I love to overfill my pizza with goodness!

Ingredients:

1 Roll of pizza crust
2 Lemons - (1) zested and (both) juiced
6 tablespoons Olive oil (separated)
3 cloves garlic - minced
2 heads broccoli - cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 cup Italian dressing
1 pound chicken - marinated in Italian dressing, grilled and cut into bite sized pieces
Approximately 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Approximately 1 cup Italian mixed cheeses
Approximately 1 cup Gouda or Gruyere cheese

Preheat oven to 400F.

I start by marinating the chicken, this isn't completely necessary but I like that bit of added flavor. Then I start to grill my chicken. In the mean time I start baking the broccoli a little bit. I wash and dry it then cover it with about 3 tablespoons of olive oil, lemon zest, juice of one lemon and a little salt. I bake that on 400F for about 10 minutes.

Then, I roll out the dough onto a baking sheet and forming to the edges. I mix one lemons worth of juice with the garlic and the remaining olive oil and brush that mixture on the crust and then bake the crust for about 8 minutes.

Usually the chicken is done by this point and I shred it to bite sized pieces, pull the broccoli and crust out of the oven.

Then I top! I start with a base of mozzarella, then add my chicken, then add on the mixed cheeses, add the broccoli, then top with the Gouda or Gruyere. Then I pop it in the oven for about 10 minutes or until your cheese is nice and toasted and it is ready to enjoy! I know it sounds like a ton of cheese and it is but I rarely use all of it.

Depending on the day I will add a little spicy garlic olive oil before I put everything else on there or if I have some pesto I'll add that too. Pizza is definitely something you can make you own and I just love this one and so does Mr. Chris! Enjoy!

I'm Busy!

Making pies! I'm making my Gruyere apple pies again this year. Chris loves it and so does his family. I've been trying to get things ready for Thanksgiving I've barely had time to have a life! With that said I would like to share my recipe again. I think it is so good and honestly, the crust is the best part. It really isn't that hard to make a crust it just takes some planning and patience. I think crusts might be intimidating to some people but they are just so darn good when they are home made!

Gruyere Apple Pie

Time: 2 Days Yields: 1 - 9-10" pie

Day 1; Crust:
2 ounces Gruyere, grated with a micro-plane grater
2.5 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
2.5 sticks of cold unsalted butter (20 tbsp.) cut into 1 inch pieces
6-7 tablespoons ice water

Mix Gruyere, flour, salt, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. (You want it to be large since cutting in butter can get very messy in a small bowl.) Use a pastry blender to cut in the butter with no large pieces remaining. It should look like a fine meal. Sprinkle ice water over flour one tablespoon at a time and mix after each addition. You may only need 2 tablespoons depending on how well you mixed your butter in. (Or how melted your butter got in the process) Once dough clumps together when squeezed in your palm, gather dough together into two disks, one approximately 14" in Diameter and the other approximately 12" in diameter. Roll out on floured surface and wrap in plastic wrap to refrigerate overnight.

Day 2; Pie:
Preheat over to 400F, take dough out of fridge.

3 pounds tart red apples (Empires, Haralsons, Romes, or Northern Spy)
.5 cup Sugar
1 tablespoon. Lemon juice
.25 teaspoon cinnamon
5 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1 egg beaten

Peel, core and slice apples into thin slices. Place apple slices in large bowl and mix in sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon and flour. flip the larger round of dough into your 9" deep dish or 10" glass pie plate and ease dough into plate.
Pile apples into pie plate, scrap in any juice on top of apples.
Place smaller round of dough on top of the apples.
seal the two crusts together, brush with the beaten egg and make three parallel slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
Place pie on a cookie sheet to catch any drips, put in over and reduce oven temperature to 375F.
Bake 50 minutes to an hour, or until you can see the filling bubbling up between the slits in the crust.

Cool on a wire rack at least 20 minutes before serving with vanilla ice cream!

Enjoy!

Weekend Update

This was a definite friends weekend. On Friday we went out with friends to Mez and then Chris and I went our separate ways, Chris to play Smash with the guys and I went with Jillian to have a delicious dessert and a chick flick! A great way to kick off the weekend, just a little chill and easy night.

On Saturday we took it really easy, Chris went to play frisbee, while I thought it was too cold to play I cleaned up the house in preparation for Christmas decorations and the upcoming long weekend away. I also got to really take my time and give myself a ridiculous blowout that is still going strong!

We went our to Firebirds with some friends for some more birthday festivities and then went over to our friends house for some cocktails and a s'mores bar! Seriously how many times have I talked about this and we finally did it!

Chris and I were talking about how we are terrible at not hosting. We literally just brought everything over to our friends house. She asked if I have anything specific I wanted and my response was oh we already have it all! we're the worst! But it was a great night and we had a blast!

I hope everyone else had a great weekend and has a safe and fun Thanksgiving!!

TGIF!

My oh my it's been a week! Busy at work busy at home! I'm ready to relax for a minute.

1. We got to go to Angus Barn last night for the Annual Alumni Meeting. We had a lot of fun, and I ate wayyy too much. So much that I couldn't even eat a s'more around the fire pit! I really wanted one but I really might have burst at the seams!

2. Speaking of s'mores I think we are going to have a s'mores bar this weekend at some point and I am very excited!

3. Thank goodness I made it to the gym so much this week. I would need to ask for a whole new wardrobe with all this eating! Me and my friend Jillian have been keeping each other accountable and it's worked out really nicely. It's nice to go with someone with the same goals as you.

4. Ugghhh Thanksgiving can't come soon enough! I am SO PUMPED to go home, see the fam, see Heather Lee, snuggle with my sweet nephew and thank everyone for my birthday presents in person.

5. Again, speaking of Thanksgiving I'll probably be making some pies again and I have a request for Brussels sprouts. I love getting to break out my pastry slab

Also, yayyyy!!! I got my pictures to upload! Don't know why it wasn't working before but I'm grateful they work now! Have a great weekend everyone!! :)

The flip!

As I said in this post Chris and I flipped our living room and I am in LOVE with our new set up! It feels much bigger and open to me. Of course little Kona wanted to be featured as well! It really opens up our fireplace which will be great since it is getting SO COLD!! We will have plenty of fires and hopefully many night making s'mores!

Before:

After:

Before:

After:

This also lets us get a bigger dinning table which we need since we have just been LOVING having people over for dinner. I wish we had planned ahead enough to do a friends-giving but maybe we will be able to do something really fun for New Years. Maybe a fondue and s'mores party??

Sorry sorry!

My pictures aren't uploading properly! This is very frustrating! Hopefully we will be back in working order tomorrow!! Anyone else having this problem? They are in when I am ready to post but they don't show up when I publish.

If I could post pics there would be a very frustrated face inserted here.

Holiday Wishlist

Coming up with a wishlist can be so hard sometimes! You know you want something but you just can't remember what it is! The best way for me is have a little list throughout the year. The easiest way to keep track of this list? Pinterest! Seriously, I love Pinterest already but being able to keep track of what I want makes my birthday and holiday list so easy!

You can add the Pin it button to your browsing header and that little addition makes it just that much easier! If I see a blogger with something cute I might want I just pin it! Even if it is something outrageous or totally out of my price range I can at least look for dupes later. This is also how I keep track of gift ideas for my family! I have a secret board with pins for everyone, well mostly everyone in the family. Or something they might want and it is all safely secreted away in my board.

Chris and I have been using Pinterest as our list of choice for the past couple years and I think it is so helpful. If you want clothes, you just put your size in the description and bam! New clothes without the guessing. The only thing we wish we could change is the ordering of the pins, I would love to be able to move them around within the board but hey, you can't have everything.

Feel free to follow along with me as I generate more present ideas for myself and others!

Weekend Update!

I had a really great weekend! It all kicked off with a delicious dinner made by Mr. Chris. He made an amazing steak with baked potatoes and grilled asparagus. I was so stuffed I was mostly asleep when my parents came in. We caught up a little bit and then headed to bed. I had a serious food coma!

The next day I made Chris and my dad breakfast before heading out to Drake Landing. We invited our friend James to come with us too. I had a lot of fun reintroducing my dad to shooting clays and getting back in the groove myself. It has a really beautiful range and even on what looked like a busy day we only encountered one other pair on the range.

Afterwards we got some lunch and rested and got ready for our dinner at Nana's with my mom. My mom had been at an art class all day so it was nice to be able to catch up with her while we got ready. Dinner was spectacular. I definitely think we'll keep it in the rotation for when guests come. I had the Cast Iron Roasted Maple Leaf Duck Breast over Creamy Pearled Barley and a Spinach/Ricotta Chili Relleno finished with Foie Gras Sauce and it was so good! My parents both got the Grilled C.A.B. Ribeye over Creamy Stone Ground Grits and Roasted Brussel Sprouts finished with Smoked Bacon Vodka Sauce and Chris got the Pan Roasted Coastal Grouper over Butter Bean Succotash with Sweet Corn and Roasted Peppers finished with NC White Shrimp Sauce. They even brought out a little birthday plate for me! It was really sweet! Again, I think we all went into food comas!

I made breakfast for everyone on Sunday and we had a leisurely morning, getting ready and packing up. After my parents left Chris and I moved all of our furniture around! It all looks so different now! We'll see how long this lasts but so far so good!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and are all geared up for a new week!

Book Club: Reconstructing Amelia by: Kimberly McCreight

I finished this book right in the nick of time before book club! Honestly I just couldn't put it down so I probably would have finished it while we were there anyway.

{image}
This book is about a single mother, Kate and her daughter Amelia in New York. Kate is on the brink of really huge case and coming into her career and Amelia is in her sophomore year of high school. It all turns around when Kate gets a call right before a huge meeting to hear that her honor roll daughter was caught plagiarizing. While navigating her way through subways and traffic Kate comes to the front of the school only to see a crime scene. It appears Amelia jumped from the roof. We read journal entries, Facebook statuses and texts to puzzle it all together to find out what really happened on the roof.

This book really pulls apart high school and what it means to be popular, how to be a good friend and how simple misunderstandings can lead you down a path you didn't know you were on. It pulls apart the mother daughter relationship, the one you have and the one you think you have.

I know a lot of people compare it to Gone Girl which I don't agree with, it's more of a Gossip Girl thriller. {I mean I loved the Gossip Girl books and the TV show in high school and college!} This book also makes me want to burn any journals I have ever kept. Not only are they mortifying, they show the most emotional parts of my life at the time, which are not always the real story, not that I lied to my journal but I think I tend to either gloss over something or meticulously examine it.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this book. I thought it was well written, thought provoking and I couldn't put it down!

My Five Distractions

1. T Swifty - Honestly, I love her new album! It's got a mix of early 90's beats and super catchy lyrics that I just can't stop reaching for it. Plus her new video is hilarious and so on point!

2. Pomegranates - We bought a big pack from Costco and I've been eating them like crazy. I had them out {unpeeled} when we had people over and so many people asked what they were! I find it really relaxing to peel them and get the little arils out.

3. Reconstructing Amelia - The book I'm reading is so consuming! I don't know if I will have time to finish it before book club tonight but I'll try my hardest!

4. Puzzles - I know I'm an old lady but I still like to do puzzles. We used to do them as a family when I was a kid, they always remind me of stormy nights when our power was kicked off and we would all gather in the kitchen and do a puzzle. I don't know if we only ever did that once or more but I have a serious memory of doing puzzles by candle light! Chris and I have one out now and I can't stop myself from trying to solve it when I come home!

5. Birthday Plans - I'm trying to pass all my responsibility on to Chris this year since we have my parents coming in. We are so busy this week I just don't want to think about it. But I think we're going to try to go to Nana's. We've never been and I've hear so much about it, just reading the menu made my mouth water so hopefully we can get a reservation!

This is a crazy week for me! But I like always being kept on my toes! We can get through this!!

Into the Gloss, 'because it's Monday and we don't want to work yet.'

And this weekend wasn't really much to write about. Happy Monday!

Five on Friday

What to do with the weekend? I'm excited to go outside while it's still nice out! But if it isn't nice where you are there are a lot of great online shopping options! :)

1. Sephora is having their 20% off VIB sale! Here are a couple things that I think would be awesome! And of course it's even more awesome when it's 20% off! Plus it's 8% back on ebates

2. Nordstrom is having a 40% off Clearance sale! There are some amazing coats available!
{top row: 1, 2, 3, 4 Bottom Row: 1, 2, 3, 4}

3. Got my eyes checked, and we are all good in the hood and new contacts are on their way! Now there are a couple choices I need to make!

4. My parents are coming next weekend and I'm really excited to see them and spend some time with them. My mom is here for an art class so Chris and I will have some QT with my dad. Were trying to come up with something fun for us to do. Maybe a five stand?

5. ohhhh and Rebecca Minkoff just launched her spring collection and I love so much! AND she's having a 50% off sale too!

Honestly with the window shopping this week. It's out of control. Lets' hope I can hold myself together.
