The next day we got a late start but were ready to meet some more friends in Chelsea. We started out by walking around theChelsea Market and finding a place to nosh. Everyone wanted to go to a diner but Chris and I were in the mood for something a bit lighter. So we went to LePain Quotidien to share a bread basket and a ham and gruyere sandwich.By the time we were done our other friends were in Chelsea and we all walked over to the construction of the World Trade Centers and the Memorial. Unfortunately we didn't have the forethought to book tickets and didn't get to go and see it. By the time we were ready for the next site it was time for us to go home and get ready for the party! So we primped and changed and scuttled over to DinoBarbeque. It was so lovely! They decorated it so it was like we were back in North Carolina and they both looked great. Laura wore a beautiful white strapless dress with a sweetheart neck, a flowy bottom, just above knee length and a sparkly belt. There were wonderful toasts and delicious food. We had so much fun. And it was relaxing but Chris and I were still pretty tired so instead of going to the after party we went home to get some sleep.
Everyone else was leaving the next day so they packed and then we all went to brunch with the rest of the wedding party. After brunch we went to the Bronx Zoo! It was so nice! The weather was just perfect and we saw a ton of animals. Since it was Sunday it closed a little early and Chris and I went back to Harlem to get some sleep before his interview and my day of work. We ordered a pizza for the two of us and had a nice night in until...Chris realized he was supposed to be at his social! Whoops!
